Privacy policy

Last updated: 14 October 2026

Progression Consulting & Coaching (ABN 47 599 766 059) ("Progression", "we", "us") delivers leadership coaching, team programs, workshops and assessments. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use and protect it, and how to contact us about it.

We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). You can read the principles on the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) website.

What we collect

Personal information is information or an opinion that identifies you, or could reasonably identify you. Depending on how you work with us, we may collect:

  • Contact details, such as your name, email address, phone number, organisation and role.
  • Information you give us when you contact us, book a call or sign up for updates.
  • Coaching and program information, such as your goals, session notes and feedback.
  • Survey and assessment responses, including the Drift Check and program surveys.
  • 360 feedback from people you nominate, if you take part in a 360 assessment such as Hogan.
  • Basic technical information our website host collects to run and secure the site, such as browser type and pages visited.

How we collect it

  • Directly from you, by email, phone, our website, in sessions and through surveys.
  • From your employer, when they engage us for a program. For example, the names and work email addresses of people taking part.
  • From people you nominate to give 360 feedback.
  • Through the service providers listed below.

How we use it

  • To deliver coaching, consulting, workshops, programs, assessments and reports.
  • To run programs and bookings, and respond to enquiries.
  • To send you updates and marketing, but only if you have opted in. Every email includes an unsubscribe link.
  • To improve our services and, where you have agreed, for research using de-identified, aggregated data.
  • To meet our legal, insurance and administrative obligations.

We may also use your information for other purposes closely related to these, where you would reasonably expect it.

The Drift Check

Public version. The public Drift Check is anonymous unless you choose to give your email address. If you do, we will send you your results and a short series of emails about them, and add you to our mailing list. You can unsubscribe at any time.

Workplace version. When an organisation runs the Drift Check with its people, it is anonymous: we do not ask for your name or email. Your organisation receives group-level results only. We use responses for any other purpose, such as aggregated research, only if both your organisation and you agree when you complete it.

Workplace programs

When an organisation engages us for a team program, its people may complete surveys about how they experience their work. In every program:

  • Your individual responses are confidential. We do not share them with your employer, your manager or anyone else without your explicit consent.
  • Your organisation receives group-level results only. We do not report results for groups too small to protect individual confidentiality.
  • Written comments are shared only with names and identifying details removed.
  • Where we compare responses before and after a program, we link them with a code rather than your name. These responses are confidential rather than anonymous, and only we hold the link.

Each program comes with a participant privacy notice setting out the details for that engagement.

Sensitive information

Our surveys ask about your experience of work. They are not designed to collect health information, and they are not psychological or clinical assessments. If you share health or other sensitive information with us, for example in a written comment or a coaching session, we use it only to deliver our service to you and never include it in reports to your employer.

AI tools and recordings

We use AI tools, including Claude by Anthropic, to help analyse survey data and prepare materials. Where practical, we remove names and identifying details before data is processed.

AI note-takers may be used in sessions where the client asks for them. Participants are told before any recording or transcription starts.

Contractors and service providers

Some programs are delivered with associate coaches and facilitators. They are named for each engagement, are bound by confidentiality, and only see the information they need for their part of the work.

We use trusted service providers to run our business, including:

  • Typeform, for surveys and assessments
  • MailerLite, for email updates
  • Webflow, for our website and contact form
  • Google, for call bookings
  • Anthropic (Claude), for AI-assisted analysis
  • Hogan Assessments, for 360 assessments

Some of these providers store data outside Australia, including in the United States and Europe. We take reasonable steps to make sure they protect personal information to an appropriate standard.

When we disclose information

  • With your consent.
  • To contractors and service providers helping us deliver our services.
  • Where required or authorised by law.

We never sell personal information.

Security and retention

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access. Information held on third-party platforms is also protected by their security controls.

We delete raw survey responses 12 months after a program ends and keep only de-identified, aggregated results. We keep other business records for up to seven years where needed for legal, tax or administrative reasons. When we no longer need information, we take reasonable steps to destroy or de-identify it.

Data breaches

If a data breach is likely to cause serious harm to anyone affected, we will notify them as soon as practicable, and the OAIC where required.

Access, correction and complaints

You can ask for access to the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it. We may need to confirm your identity first.

If you have a question or complaint about how we have handled your information, email contact@progressionconsulting.com.au. We aim to respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the OAIC at oaic.gov.au.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
